Nigeria’s Super Eagles qualify for Brazil 2014

Super Eagles of Nigeria
Nigeria will be among five African countries in Brazil.
Football fans in Calabar danced and sang under the rain as they celebrated the Super Eagles’ qualification for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Eagles on Saturday defeated the Wayla Antelopes, 2-0, to secure a 4-1 aggregate win that takes them to next year’s World Cup in Brazil.
A goal in each half saw the African champions qualify for Brazil in superb fashion and now in good stead to compete against the world’s best at the mundial.
Victor Moses, who scored two goal against the East Africans at the Africa Cup of Nations, set the tone for the day scoring from the spot in the 17th minute; before Obinna Nsofor, who came in for Moses, put the icing on cake with a superb free kick in the 80th minute which went straight into the net despite attempts by the Ethiopian goalkeeper to stop the shot.
This is the fifth time Nigeria will qualify for the FIFA senior World since making her debut at the USA 1994 edition where the country made it to the second round before being ousted by Italy. Nigeria also qualified for the 1998, 2002, and 2010 editions.
For Coach Stephen Keshi , it is another historic moment as he becomes the first African Coach to qualify two different countries for the World cup.
The big boss first qualified Togo for the 2006 edition in Germany before achieving same with his fatherland.
Meanwhile, Ogenyi Onazi was voted MVP and is to get $5,000 (N800,000) for his performance while the Eagles are also to pocket $4,000 (640,000) for the two goals scored on Saturday.
