Manchester United sack David Moyes

Manchester United have hit an all-time low this season under the Moyes.
Manchester United has sacked its manager, David Moyes.
Moyes was signed as coach about 10 months ago to replace Alex Ferguson who spent 26 years at the club. A highly successful Fergusonh had recommended his fellow Scotsman as his successor.
Moyes left Everton to sign a six-year deal with the Premier League’s defending champions. In a statement, Manchester United said it “would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role”.Manchester United have hit an all-time low this season under the Moyes. They currently lie in seventh place in the table with four games remaining, and will record a lowest ever points tally in the Premier League having struggled at Old Trafford under Moyes. The club has lost six league games at home and 11 in total so far this season, the highest in the Premier League era. Manchester United were beaten in the FA Cup by Swansea and were knocked out by Sunderland in the Capital One Cup semi-final.
They were also knocked out by Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter final.
Moyes’ last match as Manchester United manager was the 0-2 loss to Everton on Sunday. The loss ensured Everton, Moyes’ former club, did a double over United, the first time in the Premier League.
Reports from England suggests that Moyes is likely to receive compensation of one year’s salary rather than the remaining five years of his deal, with key performance targets having been missed in United’s worst campaign for almost a quarter of a century.
Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt, who were Moyes’ assistant, will take charge until the end of the season. Giggs has served as player-coach under Moyes while Butt has worked with the reserves.
