BREAKING: Bomb Explosion Rocks Kano

As security agents intensify search for Shekau, his members continue to launch attacks

A loud explosion was heard tonight in the Sabongari area of Kano, triggering fears that the city had come under attack from the extremist Boko Haram sect.
Details of the incident, said to have occurred at 9:30 PM  are still sketchy, although some residents suggest casualties are likely.
The Kano state Police Command confirmed the incident, but declined to provide details.
“We heard a loud bang around the Sabongari area but we can only confirm details later,” spokesperson of the command, Musa Majiya told PREMIUM TIMES. “We have since deployed our operatives and bomb disposal experts to the scene.”
