Nii Borketey Asuadi, Baatsonaa Mantse, has underscored the need for people in the Nungua Traditional Area, to close their ranks, so that with a united front, they could develop the area.
Nii Asuadi made the call during a home-coming event, organised by the traditional council for the indigenes, as part of activities lined up for the celebration of their annual Kpledzo festival.
The function saw Odehe Kpakpa King Odaifio Welentsi the third, Paramount Chief of Nungua, extending an olive branch to Numo Borketey Lawer Truru, Overloard Gborbu Wulomo (Shitse) of the traditional area, after they have smoked the peace pipe.
Nii Asuadi appealed to the Nungua Traditional Council to initiate the construction of a community centre to promote social activities in the area.
Nii Baatsonaa further urged the Council to construct a market for Baatsonaa, to boost economic activities in the area.
On Education in the traditional area, Nii Asuadi urged stakeholders to construct permanent walls around basic schools, to prevent criminals from encroaching on the schools' premises.
Nii Baatsonaa reminded the youth that as future leaders, they should desist from indulging in social vices so as not to ruin their lives.
Rather, he said, they should exert their youthful exuberance on viable and productive ventures, in order to grow into responsible adults.
