Angola: President Writes to Chadian Counterpart On CAR Situation

Pretoria — A message from the Angolan Head of State JosĂ© Eduardo dos Santos to his Chadian counterpart, Idriss DĂ©by, was delivered late Friday in Pretoria, South Africa.
The letter was handed over by the Angolan vice president, Manuel Vicente who is in Pretoria to attend on Saturday the inauguration of Jacob Zuma in representation of the head of State.
Manuel Vicente said the message is related to the situation in the Central African Republic (CAR).
According to the vice president, the working and friendship meeting is part of
resolution of the conflict still recorded in the country.
He added that the meeting also served to assess the good relations between
Angola and Chad, stressing that there is mutual interest to increase them.
Still on Friday, Manuel Vicente received in audience the Head of State of Republic of Congo, Dennis Sassou Nguesso.
He is also expected to meet with President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Joseph Kabila.
The South Africa's President Jacob Zuma has been sworn into office for a second term, following his party's victory at the polls.
