President Goodluck Jonathan will visit Chibok tomorrow enroute France, aides said on Thursday.
Many have criticized President Jonathan’s failure to visit Chibok 30 day after Boko Haram abducted over 200 girls in Borno State. Contrary to world standards, the president has finally agreed to visit the community.
Though the visit is yet to be formally confirmed, an advanced team of the presidential entourage is said to have already left Abuja ahead of the trip; a normal practice in the presidency.
The president’s decision to visit the community comes over one month after Boko Haram insurgents kidnapped over 250 girls from a government school in the state,
The kidnap has already drawn wide local and international condemnation.
It is believed Mr. Jonathan will also meet with the parents of some of the kidnapped school girls.
