The Nigeria police said it has
arrested five suspects in yesterday’s bomb attack at a Catholic church
in the ancient city of Kano that claimed several lives.
In a
statement released late yesterday by Frank Mba, the public relations
officer at Police Headquarters Abuja, the police disclosed that their
operatives had arrested five suspects in the course of “on-going
investigations into the various terror-related incidents that occurred
in Kano.”Mr. Mba stated that five male suspects had so far been picked up “for their complicity in the attacks.”“Intensive patrols are ongoing, citizens are advised to be vigilant and report any suspicious person or activities to security forces,” the police stated.
